She enjoys treating the various orthopedic injuries but has a special interest in functional exercise, sports related injuries, and reducing risk for injuries. She has furthered her knowledge as a clinician by completing courses focusing on ASTYM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), Gary Gray's Chain Reaction, Certified Applied Functional Science (CAFS), Functional Golf System (FGS), trained by American Academy of Manipulative Therapy on dry needling and high velocity low amplitude thrust manipulation, Functional Range conditioning mobility specialist (FRCms) and Brian Hoke's foot and ankle course.
Ashley has a passion for youth sports and reducing risk for injury and Co-Founded Dynamic Athlete Performance Academy with her husband, Tim Church, in 2015. Since 2015 she has focused her spare time on youth sports performance and programming for injury reduction in the greater Phoenix community. They have worked with athletes of all levels and ages to improve athletic performance while reducing their risk for injuries.
Ashley started her physical therapy career working for Endurance Rehab where she gained invaluable experience working with triathletes, general orthopedics and sports rehab and has spent the last 5 years of her career with world renown The Fischer Institute. At the Fischer Institute she had the pleasure of working alongside some of the best physical therapists and strength and conditioning specialists in the world who helped her grow into the physical therapist she is today. Ashley's entrepreneurial background and ambitions to make a difference in the profession of physical therapy and sports performance has motivated her to be the founder of Dynamic Performance and Recovery. She believes in hospitality and a family-oriented culture that allows clients to heal, recover and perform to the best of their ability. She surrounds herself with an ambitious, ethical, and hard-working team that aligns with her vision. Kaizen, "continuous improvement", is an important aspect of the business culture because she believes there needs to be continuous improvement of the facility, the business, and the staff professionally in order for their clients and patients to have continuous improvement and reach their full potential. She strives to provide a positive working environment for her staff to continue to improve professionally so they can provide the best care to their clients.
Ashley has an athletic background attempting most sports at an early age but enjoyed basketball and was a standout soccer player, before multiple knee injuries ended her athletic career. She has no regrets as her rehab experiences introduced and sparked her interest in physical therapy. She has endured the mental and physical obstacles athletes experience to overcome a major injury (multiple times). She enjoys all outdoor activities and attending any sporting events. In her spare time she enjoys running and training for marathons, biking, playing soccer, cooking, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, watching football, and traveling the world.

Aaron has been practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for two years, gaining experience with a wide range of cases, including sports, occupational, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. His passion for athletics began early, playing football and baseball throughout high school in Arizona and continuing with collegiate baseball at Regis University in Denver, CO. Midway through his collegiate career, he realized he would not be going pro as a baseball player, but he knew he could become a professional physical therapist. He transferred to Northern Arizona University, where he earned his Exercise Science degree.
He completed his graduate education at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas, specializing in Manual Therapy. His first role out of PT school was as a clinical director in an occupational workers' compensation clinic, where he developed valuable leadership and management skills. While he appreciates all aspects of rehabilitation, his true passion lies in the sports performance world, where he feels best suited to make an impact.
Joining Dynamic Performance and Recovery was an exciting opportunity to blend his expertise with his love for sports and performance. His goal is to create meaningful, effective experiences for his patients, helping them achieve their performance and recovery goals.
Outside of physical therapy, he enjoys road biking, golfing, live music, outdoor adventures, and spending time with loved ones. He feels honored to work alongside Ashley and the talented DPR team as he continues to grow within the sports performance physical therapy field.

Sam is a recent Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) graduate from Northern Arizona University’s – Phoenix campus. Sam’s journey to becoming a DPT was not a linear one, but one that took time and patience to discover where his real passion lay. After gaining his undergraduate degree back in 2016, Sam immediately stepped into the world of sales. During almost 10 years of sales experience, Sam gained a valuable understanding about the power of communication, building trust, and creating relationships with clients, which are skills he is excited to transfer over to his patients as a PT.
Once Sam decided to make a career change to PT, he faced the long journey head on and never looked back. From day one of his PT program, he had an idea of the population, facility, and culture he wanted to associate himself with when he became a licensed PT, and DPR checked all of those boxes and more. Further, becoming a PT at Dynamic was a full circle moment for Sam, as he was treated by Ashley for his own shoulder injury close to 8 years ago, became a student at DPR during rotations, and was then hired on as the newest member of the team. Sam cannot think of a better place or a better staff to learn from, grow with, and to assist him in becoming the best clinician he can be.
When he isn’t in the clinic, Sam enjoys anything that keeps him active. Whether it is golf, pickleball, flag football or just going on a long walk with his Mini Aussie Kinzie, Sam likes to practice what he preaches when it comes to moving his body. He has been a long time fitness enthusiast and is always looking for ways to keep his competitive edge alive. If he isn’t being active, Sam can most likely be found spending time with his family and friends.
Sam is beyond excited to start his PT career at DPR alongside the most knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated staff there is!

Abby started as an intern while finished up her degree at GCU in Spring 2022. She nothing but amazed our team and was hired in July and quickly promoted to lead physical therapy tech in the Fall of 2022. Abby grew up in Orange County, California and made the move towards Phoenix, Arizona in 2018 to attend Grand Canyon University. She graduated in 2022 with her B.S. in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Performance. She achieved her Masters in Strength and Conditioning at ASU in December of 2024. She truly fell in love with the Phoenix area and found that there are so many opportunities as a young woman entering this field.
She started dancing at 3 years old, and was a competitive dancer for 13 years. For years her family tried to put her in sports with a ball, but they could never pull her out of the studio. In high school she competed with both her dance team and company team. She always loved learning
different dance styles and figuring out how the body can move to match that specific style. Because of her dance experience, in high school she was hired by a gymnastics company to help choreograph women's beam and floor routines. Between coaching gymnastics and cheering on the sidelines, she knew that she wanted to be involved with sports.
At Dynamic Performance & Recovery, she believes the sky is truly the limit. She loves working with patients, putting smiles on their faces and making connections, while teaching proper exercise form. Progress is never completed in a linear line, there will be bumps in the road, but if patients can see and feel continuous improvement then she knows she is doing her part in their program.

Collin joined the DPR team in October of 2025 after spending three summers working as the lead strength and conditioning coach at a private baseball facility in Southern California. In 2025 he also finished his collegiate baseball career which took him all around the continental United States. During this time, he graduated with his Bachelors in Exercise Science from Saint Martin's University. Shortly thereafter he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Since then, he has worked with multiple different athletic demographics such as baseball, hockey, soccer, combat sports, pilots, some active duty military, and hopes to continue to grow this list.
One of his passions in the weight room is analyzing biomechanics and how they relate to an individual's specific needs. This analysis is a primary driver behind his workout programming and design. As a coach, he is driven and motivated to help his athletes become the best version of themselves in whatever they do. This meaning he is invested in more than just their life inside the weight room. As a lifelong athlete having participated in competitive soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, collegiate baseball, and jiu-jitsu he understands how demanding athletics can be on an individual and how important a holistic approach is to ensure continued success.
Outside of work Collin enjoys being outdoors, whether that be in the mountains or just on a baseball field, working out, and spending time learning something new. He is very excited to continue to grow, learn, and work with everyone here at Dynamic Performance and Recovery.

Marissa played competitive club volleyball throughout grade school and played on her high school varsity team for four years. Playing volleyball competitively planted the seed of her love for sports and fitness. She then became intrigued by the behind-the-scenes work. The gym became her playground to not only challenge herself, but to become unique in developing challenging strategies for others. Because of this passion, she is currently in the process of obtaining her personal training certification.
Marissa began working at DPR in August of 2023 as a physical therapy tech. She is currently studying to attain a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Once this is achieved, she will be pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy. Marissa is passionate about helping others heal. She understands all the emotions and obstacles that can come from this process. Her highly competitive background in sports makes her a talented coach when working with athletes. She is motivated to help others reach their goals, even if they seem like small successes.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys attending professional sport games including Suns, D-backs, and the AZ Cardinals. Her father was her main motivator to participate in and watch football; she now plays flag football. Marissa enjoys pushing her limits working out at the gym. She also enjoys playing video games, some of her favorites are Fortnite, Call of Duty, and NBA 2k.

Lexi is one of our PT Techs. Her love for sports began when she was three years old, with her dad as her first soccer coach. That passion carried her all the way to playing Division 1 soccer at Grand Canyon University. Like many athletes, she had her fair share of injuries, and that time in physical therapy clinics completely changed her perspective. It was not just the rehab that got her back on the field; it was the incredible therapists who celebrated every small win with her and genuinely cared about her journey.
That experience is what drives her today. She is currently studying Exercise Science and Sports Performance, with a minor in Sports Psychology, and plans to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her goal is to pay it forward—to help others get back to living their amazing, active lives without pain. When she is not studying, she loves working out, trying new fitness classes with friends, baking, hiking, and pretty much any sport she can join in on!

Ashe is our Front Office and Billing Coordinator and she is the first friendly face you will see at Dynamic Performance and Recovery. From the moment you walk through the door until the time you leave, she is here to make sure you feel supported and taken care of. She enjoys connecting with every patient and building lasting relationships. She believes that true care goes beyond just seeing the provider, it also means feeling seen, heard, and valued at every step of the journey.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences and plans to enroll in an accelerated nursing program after graduation next May. She has been in customer service for almost 7 years, as well as been part of the medical field for the past 3 years as a Surgical Pathology Assistant at Banner and a Tissue Processing Technician at a human tissue bank.
Outside of her studies and work, she enjoys spending time playing with her 3 rescue cats, exploring nature on different hiking trails, sitting down with a good book or watching anime. She also has a passion for writing and is currently in the process of writing a book.
