Ashley Church is a fitness enthusiast who became a certified personal trainer in 2006 while receiving her B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. Before earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary’s in Los Angeles, she was the General Manager of a nationwide corporate gym allowing her to learn invaluable business experience. She is a licensed physical therapist in the state of Arizona and an ASTYM certified and dry needling certified provider.
Ashley appreciates a patient centered approach to physical therapy focusing on patient’s goals, manual therapy, functional movement, and corrective exercise. She enjoys the investigative process of finding the ROOT CAUSE of a client's pain or injury rather than just treating the symptoms. She enjoys treating the various orthopedic injuries but has a special interest in functional exercise, sports related injuries, and reducing risk for injuries. She has furthered her knowledge as a clinician by completing courses focusing on ASTYM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), Gary Gray's Chain Reaction, Certified Applied Functional Science (CAFS), Functional Golf System (FGS), trained by American Academy of Manipulative Therapy on dry needling and high velocity low amplitude thrust manipulation and Brian Hoke's foot and ankle course.
Ashley has a passion for youth sports and reducing risk for injury and Co-Founded Dynamic Athlete Performance Academy with her husband, Tim Church, in 2015. Over the last 5 years she has focused her spare time on youth sports performance and programming for injury reduction in the greater Phoenix community. They have worked with athletes of all levels and ages to improve athletic performance while reducing their risk for injuries.
Ashley started her physical therapy career working for Endurance Rehab where she gained invaluable experience working with triathletes, general orthopedics and sports rehab and has spent the last 5 years of her career with world renown The Fischer Institute. At the Fischer Institute she had the pleasure of working alongside some of the best physical therapists and strength and conditioning specialists in the world who helped her grow into the physical therapist she is today. Ashley's entrepreneurial background and ambitions to make a difference in the profession of physical therapy and sports performance has motivated her to be the founder of Dynamic Performance and Recovery. She believes in hospitality and a family-oriented culture that allows clients to heal, recover and perform to the best of their ability. She surrounds herself with an ambitious, ethical, and hard-working team that aligns with her vision. Kaizen, "continuous improvement", is an important aspect of the business culture because she believes their needs to be continuous improvement of the facility, the business, and the staff professionally in order for their clients and patients to have continuous improvement and reach their full potential. She strives to provide a positive working environment for her staff to continue to improve professionally so they can provide the best care to their clients.
Ashley has an athletic background attempting most sports at an early age but enjoyed basketball and was a standout soccer player, before multiple knee injuries ended her athletic career. She has no regrets as her rehab experiences introduced and sparked her interest in physical therapy. She has endured the mental and physical obstacles athletes experience to overcome a major injury (multiple times). She enjoys all outdoor activities and attending any sporting events. In her spare time she enjoys running and training for marathons, biking, playing soccer, cooking, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, watching football, and traveling the world.
Ray is a Physical Therapist Assistant who brings over 10 years of injury rehabilitation and sports performance experience with him. Prior to earning his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pima Medical Institute, Ray earned valuable knowledge and experience working as a physical therapy technician, strength coach, and also spent time in the marketing and business development side of the industry as well.
Ray’s initial interest in Physical Therapy was sparked as a high school athlete, as he had the unique opportunity to train and rehab alongside numerous professional and collegiate athletes. Whenever injuries occurred, he enjoyed the rehab process, and enjoyed picking the brains of his Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainer. Ray studied Kinesiology at Arizona State University, while working and interning at a physical therapy/sports performance clinic. Following graduation from ASU, Ray earned his personal training certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT), followed by his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from National Strength and Conditioning Association. During this time, Ray was able to guide numerous youth/high school/collegiate athletes, as well as weekend warriors, through the process of improving their performance and lifestyles.
After deciding to return to school to earn his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pima Medical Institute, Ray was fortunate to meet many highly-regarded PT’s, PTA’s, and ATC’s. He was able to get hands-on experience in some of the most respected clinics in the state, and learned a tremendous amount of “real life” knowledge from numerous mentors, especially ASHLEY CHURCH. Since graduating in 2016, Ray continues to add new tools/techniques to his practice, obtaining certifications as a FRC Mobility Specialist (FRCms), Certified ASTYM Provider (Cert. ASTYM), and Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist (Cert. VRS). Because of this wealth of previous experience and knowledge, as well as his commitment to continuously improve, Ray strongly believes in his ability to provide extremely successful rehabilitation outcomes, while improving his patient’s fitness and performance level to beyond pre-injury status.
When he is not in the clinic, Ray enjoys activities that allow him to improve his own physical fitness, and also spends time researching articles that will help him improve his “recipe for success” with his patients. He also has found a new passion for becoming a backyard BBQ Pitmaster, trying out new recipes weekly. Other than that, he and his wife spend their time trying to entertain their two daughters.
Dan Herrle is passionate about any and all things exercise and performance. He became certified as a personal trainer and as a strength and conditioning specialist not long after completing his B.S. in Exercise and Wellness at Arizona State University. He is also a certified FRCms provider.
Dan brings an understanding of how the body works and how to best utilize training methodologies to yield the desired results for his patients and clients. He revels in the challenge of making athletes out of the young and old. Through his foundation as a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), coupled with his experience as a Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist (FRCms), Dan has the ability to deliver on his role as an expert in his field.
Having played collegiate baseball and becoming enamored with the off the field work necessary for on field results, the transition from player to trainer was seamless. Spending the last 9 years with Rehab Plus Inc he was able to learn from some of the best minds in the industry, assisting in the development of his own growth and development. Through fluid communication and positive energy Dan believes the clients he works with are put in an optimal position to succeed.
Dan is big on practicing what he preaches. Being a former athlete himself he understands all the ups and downs that occur during an athlete’s career. During his free time he still enjoys biking, running, lifting, softball, and anything that has to do with a competition. He also likes to stimulate his brain through reading, art, and writing.
Molly Ahlemeier enjoys working in this field because she loves to help people achieve their goals no matter what they aspire to accomplish. Molly went to Mesa Community College to begin her college career and continued on to Arizona State University where she achieved a B.S. in Exercise and Wellness. There she was a TA for the Exercise Testing class, where she helped teach and assist the students in their lab about how and when it was appropriate to utilize different tests on patients and clients. Molly has also earned her certification to be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Molly loves to work as both a physical therapy technician and as a strength coach. She thinks it is very important to listen to people in what goals they want to achieve so she can tailor programs to their needs. She also is very passionate about highlighting how important it is to move in a way that you enjoy, whether it is working out in a gym or doing a hobby that you love, like dancing, skateboarding. She loves working with people and is fascinated by human movement, which is why she wanted to become a strength coach.
Molly has 4 years of experience in this field, working with athletes of all ages and levels and the general population. She worked as a physical therapy technician for over 3 and a half years at Fischer Institute where she learned an extensive amount from the rehab and strength team. There, she saw the transition from physical therapy to training repetitively and is now excited to be a part of that process here at Dynamic Performance and Recovery.
In her free time, Molly loves to do anything that involves getting out and moving and loves to try new things. She often gets out and goes hiking, biking, running, and roller-skating. She likes all sports, but especially enjoys playing basketball and baseball and watching football and soccer. She also likes to go snowboarding and kayaking and enjoys reading and traveling, and wants to make more time to do these activities in the near future.
